Certification Program Overview - Effective November 1, 2011

Certified Consultants are highly specialized individuals who have participated in a series of advanced training courses and passed appropriate assessments to achieve one or more Competency Roles. Sage Business Partners must have contacts on their Sage Account that meet the required competency roles for the products for which they are authorized. View FAQ's

Transitioning to the New Program

We are committed to helping Sage partners and consultants transition to the new program with the least amount of impact. In most cases, current certificationa held by consultants will be mapped to a new competency role, with little or no additonal requirements. For products that have not required certifications in the past, we will be offering promotions and assistance to help consultants achieve their competency roles by the November 1st effective date. Details will be available on Sage University in the coming weeks. Please check back for updated information.

New Product Line Competency Role Fees

The product line Competency Role fee includes all training and assessments necessary to achieve that competency role. After payment of the fee, the consultant will receive instructions for registering for the associated training. In addition to training and assessments, the consultant's business partner account is updated with 5 support cases at the time they pay the initial competency role fee.

Second Assessment Attempt if below 80% No Charge

Challenge Competency Role Assessment without paying initial training fee $200

Product Line Certified Consultant Annual Renewal Fee

Certified consultants pay an annual renewal fee per product line, regardless of the number of achieved competency roles they hold for that product line.

*Renewal classroom or online instructor-led classroom re-certification Up to $200 per class day

Note: Certified Consultants with achieved competency roles on multiple product lines, pay an annual renewal fee for each product line. The renewal fee discount for multiple consultants is based on the total number of Certified Consultants in the company regardless of the number of product lines they represent.
